• 1000M  Sea Horse  (fun Swim, open age group)   
• 2000M Sea Lion 

     Race date: 3rd Feb 2023 (Saturday)

     Race Venue:  The Thistle PD Resort 

     A swimmer could only participated in one of the events.  

Entry Fee (inclusive of personal insurance , rm20,000 of life coverage and rm2000 hospitalization)

Participant’s Awards:  

• Finisher Medal
• Winner's Medal (gold | silver | bronze) for each age group of 500m|2000m
• Trophies for over-all winners of 500m|1000m|2000m for every gender 
• Accumulative points for top 10 finisher of 2000m for each age group.  

Race Age-group Category for each gender:   (defined by the swimmer’s age as of December 31, 2024)

500m    -  7-8, 9-10,11-12  (every 2 year)

1000m  -  Open

2000m  -  13-15, 16-20,21-25,26-30,31-35, 36-40, 41-45, 46-50, 51-55, 56-60, 61-65, 66+

8:30 flag off  Sea Angel

8:50 kids COT

8:45 flag off 1000m Sea Horse

9:20 1000m COT

9:30am  Flag off  2km Sea Lion

10:50am 2000m COT

Qualification: a minimum of 1 time OWS experiences for the past  2 years. Any triathlon, swimming event, or  Swimon or any OWS workshop/training can be counted.  A swimmer's coach endorsement will be counted too. Contact race director for further query or justification

Safety: The course is patrolled by safety crafts and life guards. Participants should be adequately trained for open water swims of this length. All swimmers must wear the provided swim cap. Wearing safety buoy is mandatory. Contact us if you need to acquire from us.

Race result: The winners time in each category will be published immediately onsite but the rest will be provided within 24 hours via www.malaysiaopenwaterswimming.com

The race book (details of event) will be distributed within 5 days before the race date.
